Hi Rob, thanks for the website. I submitted 3 seperate and different requests last night and have not received a verification e-mail. Did I do something wrong? I have checked my spam folder and it is clean. I did recieve a message each time telling me that the request was submitted. Thanks for your help.

A few providers which used to work perfectly are suddenly blocking certain e-mails again. SBCGlobal/ATT seems to be the worse of them. Not sure who your provider is, though.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but it's completely on them to allow the e-mails. I can confidently say (knock on wood) that the Takeahop servers and their IP addresses have never been used by spammers so there's no legitimate reason for us to be blocked by anyone.
All I can suggest: 1) bug your provider and make sure they take any blocks off, and 2) try using an e-mail address from another provider.
Good luck!

Having the same problem exactly as stated by phcruizer. Have used the site successfully in past years. When I tried to sign on with bevglenscott, got an error message stating alphanumeric only.
Help! The web site has been extremely useful in the past
Thanks - Glen Scott
Over the last few weeks I reviewed every single line of code used in the server. The problem is very unfortunate but it's clearly a problem on your e-mail provider's side. They're blocking e-mails that shouldn't be blocked. Hopefully they'll find a way to make their filtering less restrictive, but until then, they're making things difficult for their customers.
What extension should I tell Comcast that they are blocking... ".gov, .mil, ???

...mail generated by takeahop.org and takeahop.com.
I discussed the lack of reply emails from the AF bases with Comcast and told them about takehop.org and .com. They are setting up a problem ticket to investigate. Oddly enough, I had one email from my registration for Space-A (I submitted 5) and it came from Elmendorf.af.mil. Comcast suggests that either the automated email to the AF base didn't make it, or the automated response from the AF may not have been "triggered" by your automated format - or the AF automated reply system failed. Odd that the second one of my 5 was the one that sent me a reply.
Bob,
We're starting to mix apples and oranges. The verification e-mail is the very first e-mail that goes to you, from Takeahop. After you click on a link inside it, then signup e-mails are generated and send to the various terminals, with a copy of it also going to you. But then, whether or not the terminals actually decide to send a reply back to you is entirely up to them. (This is covered in the
Takeahop FAQs)
Fact is: most terminals don't reply to the signup e-mails. There's no such thing as what you've called the "AF automated reply system". And I don't know of any individual terminal that automatically replies to any signup e-mails.
Thanks. For years I have gotten immediate responses from Travis, McGuire, BWI, Andrews, Dover, and Elmendorf. It was so prompt that I believed them to be automated. This last registration I got the Takeahop response and only one other from Elmendorf. I'll go ahead and take your copy with me to the next hop. Thanks again.
